Christie’s Lates: Groundbreakers

Christie’s, London

To promote and celebrate Christie’s Classic Week, I produced a large-scale Christie’s Lates event centred on the Groundbreakers: Icons of Our Time sale, alongside the Nordic Lights exhibition and the Valuable Books, Manuscripts and Photographs auction.

Welcoming over 700 guests, the evening consisted of a programme of talks, specialist tours, live demonstrations and entertainment. Highlights included panel discussions on filmmaking and groundbreaking collections, specialist-led exhibition tours, a nordic wreath workshop, a pop-up cinema screening, a Sipsmith Gin Bar, live illustrations and Tolkien-inspired poetry and a DJ set exploring “groundbreaking” music.

The event positioned Christie’s as a cultural meeting point after hours, successfully engaging new and existing audiences while amplifying the narratives of innovation, creativity and boundary-breaking at the heart of the sales.
