Winter Classic Week Dinner
Christie’s, London
Inspired by the Fabergé Winter Egg, I had the privilege of managing and producing an intimate winter dinner to celebrate Christie’s Classic Week.
I wanted the dinner to echo the details of the Winter Egg: the delicate wood anemones at its centre, symbolising the transition from winter to spring, and the snowflake, winter design created by Alma Theresia Phil, one of only two female designers at the House of Fabergé.
To honour the spirit of 1913, when the egg was commissioned by Tsar Nicholas II, and to complement the Old Master Paintings in the room, the dinner embraced tradition through silverware, ivory linen and candlelight. The menu was paired with Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle champagnes to offer guests a unique experience.
