To celebrate Picasso’s 50 Year Legacy, Christie’s hosted a Lates event themed around his techniques and inspirations. With over 2,000 attendees, guests enjoyed a range of events including live glass painting and ceramic demonstrations, still life drawing workshops, live performances from the National Circus and a Spanish guitarist and flamenco dancer, cocktail bars with Sipsmith and London Essence and Picasso Inspired exhibitions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Being the main contact for all participants at the event

  • Working with the marketing team to promote the event and design the logos, signage and website

  • Managing the event staff on the evening by giving clear instructions and briefing them beforehand

  • Working with security, facilities and the wider operations teams to ensure the event goes to plan in a safe manner

  • Designing the registration page and responding to guest queries

  • Creating a full schedule of the day and assigning members of the team to different tasks

  • Creating an operations form and risk assessment to ensure every aspect of the event has been planned out

  • Working with the incoming goods team to ensure works were successfully transported in, in time for the exhibition install
