Christie’s Lates: Pride

Events Details:

To kick start London Pride, Christie’s hosted a Pride themed Lates event at the end of May, open to the public and free for all.

The event included a Voguerites ball, several panel discussions and exhibitions, a drag costume exhibition, a DJ, cocktail bar and masterclasses and a pride flower installation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Lates committee as the events manager to make the ideas come to life

  • Being the key contact for the contributers to ensure key information and assets were provided from them

  • Processing all invoices and managing the budget

  • Delegating roles out to manage the success of the event

  • Creating and managing the registration page

  • Answering client queries about the event

  • Working with marketing to produce signage, the website page, the map and programme.

  • Designing lot cards for the exhibitions

  • Thinking creatively to come up with new ways to control crowds and queues and communicating this to key stakeholders

  • Leading all logistic operational meetings to make sure everyone knows the plan for the event and their role in it

  • Contributing to the creative meetings by researching beforehand and using my experience to advise on potential ideas
